DRILL CHUCK 296 AND 297: COMBINED DRILL CHUCK FOR TOOLS WITH WELDON/WHISTLE NOTCH SHANK

The Mexin 296 drill chuck uses mechanical functions of the most advanced technology. The concentricity  tolerance is lower than 0.020mm, exceeding the normal standard precision.
With a tightening torque of 12Nm, we can obtain a clamping force of 70Nm on the tool.

Due to its mechanical construction and to its innovative design, the Mexin 296 drill chuck allows to use any existing drill, with coolant holes or solid, being sure that it is always correctly cooled.

We developed several mechanisms with which by means of a conic serrated crown to 45º, we can obtain the necessary clamping force, essential to be able to take profit of the high performance of the present drills.

This clamping system allows to work with right and left turns. The compact construction of this drill chuck allowed to reduce its volume, being able to rotate at high speed. Another important characteristic is the tolerance in the concentricity, which is lower than 0,020mm. This is a very important quality with which the cutting power of the drill is used to the maximum, increasing its performance.

We recommend a tightening torque of 12Nm on the mechanism with a dynamometric wrench. In this way a strength of 70Nm can be achieved on the tool.


We developed a suitable product for the precision mechanical industry. The innovation consists on the strength and clamping force of the drill.

The Mexin 296 drill chuck can work with standard HSS drills or with the new generation carbide drills. These drills, because of their high performance, need a strong drill chuck with a big tightening torque.

Besides, it allows the coolant to pass through it and to come out by the centre of the drill, this ensuring a constant refrigeration. Without this, the drill could burn in seconds.

COMBINATIONS FOR THE REFRIGERATION
As far as we know, this drill chuck is the only one which can use any existing drill on the market, both with coolant holes or solid.
With a hexagonal standard wrench of 3 mm we turn the pistons in sense A or B depending on how we want the distribution of the coolant.

If we want to direct it through the front part, turn pistons in sense A.
